My BIG holiday this year!

Published on 5 August 2023 at 19:05

I am soooo excited  for my BIG holiday this year! Last year I went to Tasmania for 11 days. I wanted to go to New Zealand but instead we are going someone that’s as good as New Zealand!!! This year we are going to….. ( Drumroll please) QUEENSLAND!!!! OMG I AM SOOOO EXCITED!!! . I have never been to Queensland before. I have always wanted to go to Queensland ever since I was 9 years old ( in 2020). I especially wanted to go to Noosa! I remember asking one weekend if we could go to Noosa and my dad said maybe, only if you write me a 300 word poster about Noosa and then we can go. I didn’t want to write a 300 word poster but I knew if I wanted to go to Noosa I had to. So I went straight to work. It took me 2 days to finish that 300 word poster. Once I finished I was sooo excited to show my dad. When my dad came back from work that evening I showed him my poster and then he counted how many words I did. I went over 300 words, he was impressed! ( In case you are wondering I did 388 words) He said we will be going to Noosa that year. I was a excited wreck!

 1 year later ( 2021)

A year later I was wondering why we didn’t go to Noosa. I asked my dad and his words were tangled into a big pile. He was saying things like “it’s because of COVID-19 “ and “ we have been every busy this year”. I turned into a sad wreck. . I was so upset that I didn’t want to talk to my dad.

2022 In March

My parents were being really suspicious  that month. They were looking at things on their computers for ages and they were talking about things quietly so we couldn’t hear. Then one night my parents asked me and my sister to come to the kitchen to talk about something important that we are doing in September that year. Then they told us the news. Our mouths dropped. We were in shock . We were going to Tasmania! I had never been to Tasmania so I was excited! My dad said we might be going to New Zealand next year.  ( 2023)

 In 2023

This year for our big holiday we are going to Queensland as I told you before. We are going for 3 weeks. Not only we are going Queensland, we will also be going to Melbourne and Sydney. ( Yes, we are driving!) My dad has a get-together with all his old school friends in Melbourne so we will be staying there for about 2-3 nights. ( I am not really sure yet about the nights and days) After Melbourne we will be going to Sydney and we will be staying there for 3 nights. Once we finished our 3 nights we are going QUEENSLAND!!! We are not staying in Brisbane unfortunately and we also will not be seeing the Great Barrier Reef! . In Queensland we will be staying in Noosa, Gold Coast and Fraser Island . In Noosa we will be staying there for 3 nights, Gold Coast 3 nights and the same with Fraser Island . Then 4 days to come back to Adelaide by car! ( Personally I don’t think I will survive the 4 night car trip to Adelaide from Queensland, I usually get carsick if it’s a long trip, like in Tasmania) I really want to go to Canberra but I don’t think we are going. But with some begging we might be able to stop at Canberra when we are driving back to Adelaide. (I love politics and I really want to see the Parliament House in Canberra)

One thing I want to do is go on one of the theme parks in the Gold Coast. I don’t really like heights so I will probably be going to the Wet ‘n’ Wild. I am so excited  and it is going to be so fun !!!

Comment in the comment box if you have any ideas to do in Queensland, Melbourne or Sydney! Also tell me some of your fun, funny, epic stories!
